I was also reconnecting all the HDMI cables which I’d figured out how to make use of a few weeks back when I first “solved” the question of this thread by abandoning optical audio and aalc1200 with HDMI audio.
So I can;t get the digital out functioning as the kext I guess was being modified to with optical output, is that any chance to create a version that suit for ALC with coaxial digital output interface?

Anyway, I got it back unchanged and unfixed, but it’s no aalc1200 an issue and was reinstalling it. I have used the same speakers on a previous asus board an78x-x zith a real tec alc’97 chip and here the sound level was much more louder.
Do you know of any vanilla fix for this that does not involve fixed IPs?

The problem is that the 4 channel sliders are greyed out and cannot be moved so that levels between the four sources can be balanced against each other. No problem with sound, when using speakers. This driver doesn’t work with ALCinjector.

With XP, it worked fine. I even tried to install the standard realtec HD audio driver: I can’t setting digital output. I thought you should all know that Marionez’ kext for the ALC kext is a twofer two for one.
